New route to push tourism and connectivity between two areas.
Vietnam Air recently opened a new flight route between arguably Vietnam’s finest beach, Nha Trang, and the Mekong delta city of Can Tho. The one-hour non- stop flight will use 67-seat ATR-72 aircraft and be operated by Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO).
There will be three flights a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, with tickets starting at just VND399,000 ($17.8) one-way. Flights will depart at 3.05 pm from Can Tho International Airport and at 5pm from Nha Trang.
According to a Vietnam Air survey, the number of domestic and international visitors to the Mekong Delta and the travel needs of local people are increasing. The significant growth in the number of tourists arriving at Cam Ranh International Airport reveals the potential of conducting a Can Tho-Nha Trang route. The new route is also a good way to promote tourism in the Mekong Delta and Nha Trang, providing convenience and increasing connectivity between the two areas.
According to a representative from Vietnam Air, as a pioneering travel company focusing on opening new routes, this is an opportunity for it to invite other investors to cooperate, develop tourism potential, and prompt connections between key cities and provinces around the country.
Vietravel has also introduced tour programs for Tet, combining new routes departing from Hanoi, Nha Trang, Da Lat, and Can Tho.
