Addressing the working session, PM Phuc noted that he appreciated the achievements that the provincial Party committee, Government and people had attained in socio-economic development as well as ensuring defence and security, hunger eradication and poverty reduction.
However, he pointed out the shortcomings that the province should overcome including slow development, a weak business investment environment, insufficient agricultural restructuring and a high rate of poverty.
The Government leader noted that Cao Bang should strive to become one of the provinces most greenly, cleanly and comprehensively developed in all fields in the coming time.
It is essential to focus on creating sustainable livelihoods for people, to stabilise the local society and defence and security, as well as to apply the green growth model based on three pillars: agriculture, tourism and trade via the border gate, emphasised PM Phuc.
He also asked the province to study the allocation plan to restructure the population towards improving the efficiency of using investment resources from the State and public services.
The PM urged the province to improve its business environment and competitiveness and promote production as well as accelerate administrative reforms.
The Cao Bang authorities need to pay much attention to restructuring agriculture, prioritise tourism development and uphold solidarity among minorities, said PM Phuc.
