Da Lat is a popular tourist destination in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. The resort city is located 1,500 metres above sea level on the Langbiang Plateau in Lam Dong Province.
Endowed with all-year-round temperate weather, romantic pine tree forests, awe-inspiring flower fields, and French boulevards and villas from the colonial period, Da Lat has long been touted as the City of Love and Eternal Spring.
Da Lat’s distinctive mild climate along with misty weather constitutes a sense of ethereal beauty, making this small city the ideal destination for escaping vacations away from the busy metropolises.
On the natural side, Langbiang Mountain, Xuan Huong Lake, Doi Thong Hai Mo and Valley of Love top the list. On the cultural and historical side, Bao Dai Summer Palace, Domaine de Marie Church and Truc Lam Monastery are the treasures that hold the rich history and culture of Da Lat and the region.
With its year-round cool weather, Da Lat supplies temperate agricultural products for Vietnam. Da Lat is also known as an area for scientific research in the fields of biotechnology and nuclear physics.
