Da Nang development master scheme passed

The PM has agreed to adjustments to the general planning of Da Nang city.

The Da Nang city People’s Committee was assigned to research and collect comments from relevant agencies to compose and submit tasks and a plan on adjustments to the master plan of the city.

The Ministry of Construction was asked to assess the tasks and plan on adjustments to the master plan.

Earlier, Decision No. 2357/QD-TTg approving the adjustment of the general planning of Da Nang city by 2030 was ratified on December 4, 2013.

However, it is necessary to modify the general planning in accordance with the new context.

Specifically, the new general planning prioritizes tourism services and trade; focuses on high-tech industries with high added value; accelerates clean farming and high-tech applications to agricultural production.

It paves the favorable way for the formulation of new industrial parks.

Regarding urban infrastructure development, the general planning adjusts Da Nang international airport towards serving 6 million passengers by 2020 and expanding international terminal; and upgrades Tien Sa seaport.
