The farmers and businesses are joining the “Horti Dalat” project supported by the Netherlands’ Rabobank Foundation and implemented by Fresh Studio – a world leading agriculture consultant.
The project aims to provide technical and financial support for agricultural production.
It also helps farmers access loans to build greenhouses, increase productivity and build business plans, as well as connect farmers with retailers.
The region around Da Lat City in Lam Dong province with its unique climate is the most important horticulture area in Vietnam, supplying fast growing cities with fresh produce.
Despites some developments in horticulture production, the vegetable production sector is still characterised by smallholders with little knowledge of modern farming technologies.
The “Horti Dalat” project aims to introduce cutting edge horticulture production technologies to farmers and businesses to obtain higher yield, better quality and a more sustainable production system.
