E-applications for immigration launched

A new website for e-application for foreigners' immigration has been launched.

The Department of Immigration has launched a website for enterprises, organizations, and agencies to complete immigration procedures online for foreign employees.

After registering for an account at https://immigration.gov.vn, individuals and organizations can submit applications for entry to Vietnam by foreigners and receive feedback.

This is a major step in reforming administrative procedures in the field of immigration and increasing the use of information technology in State management, according to the department.

The new e-system will help relieve pressure on the visa department as well as save time and money for those who want to invite or guarantee employment to foreigners.

The Department has also offered training sessions to representatives from 57 enterprises in the country on the steps in sending official letters via the electronic transaction system.

Prior to this, from February 1, 2017, the Department of Immigration implemented a two-year pilot e-visa system for foreign tourists, with a fee of $25 per person, applicable to citizens from 40 countries.
