Four Seasons has brought myriad upgrades and fresh features to The Nam Hai to welcome families, beach lovers, spa aficionados, and culinary travelers.
The Nam Hai, Hoi An, is well-known in Vietnam as a world-class five-star resort, and now guests can expect more as it recently joined Four Seasons to become the Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai.
“It’s an exciting day as we welcome our first Four Seasons guests and reintroduce ourselves to those who have known and loved this beautiful resort for years,” said long-time General Manager Anthony Gill, who led the extensive upgrades over the past few months as the celebrated resort prepared to join Four Seasons. “We’ve taken the best of everything The Nam Hai has to offer and made it even better.”
Having officially joined the Four Seasons family just weeks ago, the renowned beachfront resort is taking inspiration from the Rooster, showing off an array of fabulous new features and Four Seasons experiences. Notable new features include refreshed resort and hotel villas, including eight new Family Villas, which now have a kids room stocked with board games and special surprises, with a sofa bed, a desk, a TV, and a gaming console, and their own private bathroom.
Another new feature is The Chuon Chuon Kids Club. The all-new stand-alone facility brings the popular Four Seasons Kids for All Seasons program to Vietnam for the first time. Professional staff welcome children aged from 4 to 12 for days filled with traditional crafts, indoor and outdoor games, yoga classes and more. The Club even has its own splash pool, surrounded by mini-loungers, in true resort style. The resort also has a games room for young adults.
Besides its new features, the resort also brings guests new experiences, as there will be more fun for families. Whether splashing about in the Family Pool or taking advantage of the Resort’s enhanced watersports program on the beach, days in the sun are at the heart of a family beach vacation. Younger guests ages six and older are welcome in The Heart of the Earth Spa, with specially designed treatments, and the resort’s restaurants offer kid-friendly menus.
Mr. Gill noted that further surprises are in store in the new year, as the resort unveils new experiences for travelers to explore Vietnam’s welcoming culture and fascinating history, as well as for those who want nothing more than to relax at the Spa, by the pools, or on the beach.
Four Seasons introduces an all-new spa concept inspired by the writings of Vietnamese Zen master, scholar and peacemaker Thich Nhat Hanh at The Heart of the Earth Spa. Led by veteran Four Seasons spa expert Luisa Anderson, Spa Manager Dwi Susanti and her team offer a menu of yoga and mindfulness classes and spiritual therapies, including the new Nam Hai Earth Song signature treatment. This 150-minute journey is ideal for sharing, as a series of rituals inspire a deeper connection to the earth, featuring a Vietnamese scrub and bath, a deep pressure massage, and a unique “sound bath”.
Widely known as one of the world’s healthiest, Vietnamese cuisine has been shaped by thousands of years of cultural cross-pollination and continues to be inspired by the bounty of the country fields, forests, and sea.
The Nam Hai Vietnamese Cooking Academy has been built in the tradition of the renowned Four Seasons cooking schools in Chiang Mai and Bali and is dedicated to the art and enjoyment of Vietnamese cuisine. Led by Chef Tran Van Sen, students will learn the fundamentals, beginning in the resort’s own two acre (almost one hectare) fruit, vegetable and herb farm. Hands-on classes and market visits can be tailored to interests and experience, with all guests “graduating” with a collection of recipes to enjoy at home. Programs for children are also available.
Available until March 31, the special Introductory Offer includes a complementary fourth night with every three consecutive paid nights, plus round-trip airport transfers, daily buffet breakfast, and the opportunity to sample the tapas menu at the all-new Beach Bar, on the house.
Since opening in December 2006, The Nam Hai has set the benchmark by which all other resorts in Vietnam are measured. The resort’s first major award came in 2008, when Travel + Leisure’s Design Awards panel dubbed it “World’s Best Resort”. It has also received praise from Condé Nast Traveler, CNN Travel, Luxury Travel, Cigar Aficionado, and many other esteemed overseas media outlets.
The resort is heading into the Year of the Rooster with an extra sense of excitement and optimism. “It’s a time of renewal at the resort, so this year’s Tet celebrations will be particularly auspicious for ourselves and our guests,” said Mr. Gill, who leads a team of more than 600 dedicated staff. “Our team has worked very hard over the past few months to enhance and perfect our beautiful resort, and we are excited to welcome the world to our own slice of heaven here at Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai.”
