Mature lotus leaves have a diameter of 2-3 m, can withstand a maximum weight of 140 kg. Inside is placed an aluminum sheet to avoid tearing the leaves.
To get to the pagoda, you take the National Highway 80, pass Nha Man market then turn left, go along the riverside, ask people about the wooden bridge to go to LA Sen Pagoda or Phuoc Kien Pagoda. Note on the way there are many people build the sea "Send car to the temple" and then offer motorbike taxi to the temple. If you go by car, you should come to the bridge to park the car, and motorbikes can cross the bridge into the temple yard.
Phuoc Kien Pagoda was bombed during the war, so there were many bomb craters, the pagoda was renovated into a lake planted with lotus and guns. The lake in front of the small temple, you go around to the right to reach the big lake, where there are many large lotus leaves.
Tourists visit the lotus lake for free, but to sit on the lotus leaf to take a photo, there are people living nearby who provide services, take a wooden board to take you to the leaf, and then take pictures. Service price is 20,000.
The lotus here has been planted since 1992, until 1998 the pond dried up, then died, then the new floating season regained. If you visit the temple in the summer when the water has not come, the lotus leaf is not large, you cannot sit up.
