The Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group remains at the top of the list of the largest enterprises in Vietnam in 2016 in terms of revenues, according to Vietnam Report, a corporate ranking service.
The State-owned company, also known as PVN or PetroVietnam, has maintained its number-one position since 2008.
Samsung Electronics Vietnam ranks number two, the position the Republic of Korea–funded company has occupied since 2013.
Meanwhile, the military-run telecoms giant Viettel has knocked down oil importer and distributor Petrolimex to number five, becoming the third-largest company in Vietnam this year.
Other companies in the top ten include the State utility company EVN, Binh Son Oil Refinery Company, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, Vietnam National Coal and Mining Corporation, Northern Power Corporation and Vietnam Airlines.
In another rankings, Truong Hai Auto Corporation is Vietnam’s largest privately owned enterprise, followed by dairy producer Vinamilk and DOJI Gold and Gems Group.
