Total export turnover of the northern province of Quang Ninh hit US$461.3 million in the first four months of 2017, making up 28% of the yearly plan and up 5.3% from a year ago, according to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment.

In April also, the province earned US$130 million from exports.
Coal export brought home US$59.7 million from shipments of 455,000 tonnes.
Other export goods seeing increase included cement, up 32%; wolfram, 19.1%; textiles, 14.4%; and vegetable oil, 9.2%.
Imports of local businesses were valued at US$128.31 million in April, adding up to US$496.4 million in total imports in the January-April period, down by 24% compared to the same period last year.
