Accordingly, Dong Nai's general development model to 2020, vision to 2025 is sustainable development in the direction of economic growth in parallel with environmental protection and social security, gradually improving the quality. people's life. The province's development objective is to promote its advantages, maintain a fast and sustainable development pace, make Dong Nai a province of industrialization, modernization and synchronous and modern infrastructure by 2020. Accelerating economic restructuring, changing the growth model towards combining width and depth, creating a solid foundation for going into depth development based on the development of the knowledge economy in the period. paragraph 2021 - 2025.

Based on the review and assessment of resources, the socio-economic development situation, the potential and advantages of the province and the context of impacts, specific development objectives have been adjusted accordingly. with the general development process of the country and the conditions of Dong Nai. Accordingly, the average GRDP economic growth rate in the 2016-2020 period will be 8-9% / year; in the 2020-2025 period, it will be 8.5 - 9.5% / year (calculated according to the new method of the General Statistics Office). GRDP per capita will reach USD 5,300 - USD 5,800 by 2020 and USD 9,000 - 10,000 USD by 2025.

In the development breakthroughs, the province focuses on transport projects connecting seaport, airport development projects and social security projects to gradually improve the quality of life. citizen; strongly develop logistics services, information technology and telecommunications services, especially exploit services related to the investment and operation of Long Thanh International Airport. Along with that, continuing to prioritize mobilizing social resources for human resource development, especially high quality human resources. Investment in and development of industrial parks shall be carried out under a model of green and synchronous development, attracting selective investment, prioritizing hi-tech projects, supporting industries and environmental friendliness.
Along with the rapid development of industry and service economy, Dong Nai attracts a large number of migrant workers from other provinces and cities. It is expected that the population size in the province will continue to increase in the coming years. At present, Dong Nai population is about 2.9 million, according to the provincial calculation, by 2020, it will be from 3.1 million to 3.2 million; by 2025 the population size will be between 3.3 and 3.4 million.



Create a new face of urban and rural

According to the development direction of the province in the next 10 years, focusing on building and developing 11 existing urban areas, including upgrading the city. Bien Hoa will become a first-class city and Nhon Trach city will be established as a second-class city, upgrading Long Thanh and Trang Bom towns into grade-III cities. In addition, if eligible, continue establishing and developing 3-4 new towns (urban area of ​​type V). To step up the implementation of the new rural construction program, by 2020, the whole province will have 80% of communes meeting the NTM standards, by 2025 this figure will be over 85%.

According to the planning adjustment, the province focuses on developing 3 economic regions including: Southwest Dong Nai economic zone: This is a key economic region of the province, focusing on developing industry - urban - service; Including areas: TP. Bien Hoa and Nhon Trach and Long Thanh districts. Dong Nam Dong Nai economic region: including Long Khanh town and districts of Trang Bom, Thong Nhat, Xuan Loc and Cam My; focus on developing agriculture combined with processing industry. North Dong Nai economic region: including the districts of Vinh Cuu, Dinh Quan and Tan Phu; This region focuses on the management and protection of forests, the protection of Dong Nai river water source and Tri An hydroelectricity.
 
 


 

To implement the plan, the province mobilizes social investment capital in the 2016-2020 period with about VND 296-330 trillion. In particular, the state budget capital accounts for about 7 - 8.5%; investment of people and businesses inside and outside the province accounts for 40-42%; Foreign investment accounts for 45 - 47%. Regarding the investment structure, it is expected to mobilize investment in agriculture, forestry and fishery production and agricultural services (excluding irrigation), accounting for about 3-4% of the total social investment capital; attracting investment in industries and construction accounted for 57-58% and investment in services accounted for 39 - 40% of social investment.
