This means they have covered 99 per cent of the total localities in Viet Nam after only four months of its launch.
Viettel said it had also provided 4G network to around 6,300 communes nationwide including remote, mountainous and border gate areas.
Specifically, more than 100 districts in the border areas in 25 provinces including Loc Binh, Muong Nhe, Sin Ho, Meo Vac and Quan Ba had access to the 4G network.
It is expected that by the end of this month, the telecom provider would have more than 7,300 4G BTS to bring the total to 28,000 BTS nationwide.
This could help ensure the best quality 4G.
With 4G, customers can enjoy speeds that are 7 to 10 times higher than 3G.
Earlier, Viettel Telecom – a subsidiary of Viettel provided free 4G SIM cards to its users ahead of the launch of its 4G network.
