On an 8-hectare flower field located in Tram Chim National Park (National Park) (Tam Nong district, Dong Thap province), millions of royal flowers are blooming brilliantly.
This is a special flower, considered as a "specialty" of Tram Chim National Park in recent years. Flowers only bloom for about 2 months.
The reason for calling an early royal flower, many people explain because the flower is a small round tube about 10-20cm long. The head consists of many buds, when the flowers bloom, bright yellow petals spread out like a small seal. This flower grows on the grass itself, the favorite food of the Sarus Crane. Flowers only bloom within 2 hours, from 10am to 12pm.
When the flooding season has just passed, the drought field is the time when this beautiful flower grows. Millions of royal flowers bloom brightly on the stretched field, becoming a tourist attraction in the journey to discover Dong Thap Muoi.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Director of Tram Chim National Park, this area is still in the study area and has not been widely exploited for tourism. The management board is considering developing a plan to introduce visitors to the whole country but still ensure high conservation.
In the journey to the top of the royal flower field, guests will take a boat to visit the ecological landscape of Tram Chim National Park.
